Local golfers Lauren Lehigh and Darren Edwards both made the second-day cut at the Colorado Junior PGA Championship on Tuesday, leading to another round Wednesday at Eisenhower Golf Club.
Lehigh, who won the 4A state title last month, is in second place as the top 15 girls made the cut. The Loveland High golfer has a two-day total of 156, trailing leader Hailey Schalk (who won the 3A title) by nine shots. Schalk is the only girl in the field to shoot under par in either of the two rounds, with a third still to be played Wednesday.
Edwards, who placed in the top five at state in 4A in the fall, sits in a tie for 16th with a two-day total of 156. The Thompson Valley student sits 14 strokes behind leader Davis Bryant as the top 30 boys in the field advanced to Wednesday's round.
